  • The Banana Splits was inspired by "The Monkees" and "Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In".

  • The Banana Splits was broadcast as "The Banana Splits Adventure Hour", and also "The Banana Splits and Friends Show".

  • Regular segments of the show were "The Arabian Knights" (animated), "The Three Musketeers" (animated), "Micro-Ventures" (animated), and "Danger Island" (live action).
